Jim Medley

HOUSTON DEFENSE LAWYER Jim Medley has been working in the criminal justice field for over 20 years. Mr. Medley has over 12 years experience as a Texas police officer, and has trained and supervised police officers in the Houston, Texas area. Mr. Medley has also served as a professor of Criminal Justice and Criminal Law. He is often invited as an consultant to train police officers in how to properly apply and interpret DWI field sobriety tests. Mr. Medley consults for other Texas defense lawyers as an expert about the use of police DWI roadside exercises in court.

Mr. Medley has Masters degrees in Criminal Justice, Education, and Forensic Toxicology. Mr. Medley regularly attends specialized training across the country for DWI defense lawyers. Mr. Medley is also often invited to teach and speak at training seminars for Houston defense attorneys who seek exceptional skills in criminal defense. Mr. Medley is a graduate of the National College for DUI Defense, and has been a member of that organization since 2004.

Jim Medley was named a "Houston Superlawyer" and "Top Houston Lawyer" several years running. Mr. Medley has won over 20 consecutive jury trials just in the last two years working as a Houston defense lawyer.
