Attorney Rycroft gained his Juris Doctor (law degree) at South Texas College of Law in Houston. He was named first place best oralist in the Garland Walker Mock Trial Competition, was on the Dean’s List, and also gained some of his legal education at the California Western School of Law in Santiago, Chile and as the Sandra Day O’Conner Law School at Arizona State University. He has a degree in government and a minor degree in business, and is a member of Texas Entrepreneurs and Texas Roosevelt Institute.
He formerly served as an attorney for Rusty Hardin & Associates in both Houston and Washington DC. He was a member of the Roger Clemens trial team in Washington DC in 2011 & 2012, and is responsible for writing motions, memoranda, conducting witness interviewed, new clients meetings, extensive research, participated in depositions, and assisted the trial team in preparation of the trial exhibits and jury research.
Prior to that, he worked assisting federal prosecutor in trial preparation, and within the Narcotics & Dangerous Drug Section of the Department of Justice. He assisted federal prosecutors in trial work, and conducted legal research, drafted motions, and assisted with Spanish witnesses and translations, and speak Spanish fluently. He also worked with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and the Harris County Attorney in Houston, primarily with General Counsel James Savage, and also assisted in the State Trial Division at the Harris County Attorney’s Office.
