Attorney Rycroft has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. He is proficient in Spanish, has a Mediation Certificate and has an in-depth familiarity with trial litigation. His professional affiliations include being a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
He originally worked as a Harris County Attorney in the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. From there he moved on to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, D.C. where he was a Narcotics & Dangerous Drug Section law clerk. After working with the DOJ, Attorney Rycroft went to work for the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas as a Narcotics & Asset Forfeiture Section law clerk. From both positions he was able to amass significant knowledge and insight beneficial to his new position with the firm. For the years immediately prior to his arrival at the firm, he worked as an attorney representing all manner of criminal and civil cases, including being a member of the Roger Clemens trial team.
